Cecelia Ahern in conversation with Joanna Cannon: Into the Storm

Thursday 14 November | 7:30pm - 8:30pm

£10 Venue: QUAD, DE1 3AS

Thursday 14 November, 7.30 - 8.30pm, QUAD

With 25 million copies of her books sold to date, in over 40 countries and in 30 languages, contemporary fiction powerhouse Cecelia Ahern joins us to discuss her latest gripping novel with Festival favourite Joanna Cannon. Into the Storm features motherhood, escaping the past, and what really happened on one wild, stormy night and will have you on the edge of your seat!

Cecelia Ahern constantly defies expectations. She wrote her first novel at 21 with her debut novel, PS I Love You, filmed with Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. Ever evolving, she is most recently known for her provocative, mind-bending collection Roar, adapted for TV by Nicole Kidman. She describes herself as ‘drawn to the surreal’ but anchors her novels with compassion and shrewd observation.

Joanna is best known for her three best-selling novels: The Trouble with Goats and Sheep, Three Things About Elsie (longlisted for the Women’s Prize) and A Tidy Ending. She has also written two non-fiction books and her fourth novel will be published in 2025.

This event will be filmed and made available as a digital recording after the Festival. For more information please click here.
