Adrian Chiles: The Curious Columns of Adrian Chiles

Saturday 16 November | 3pm - 4pm

£12 Venue: QUAD, DE1 3AS

Saturday 16 November, 3 - 4pm, QUAD Derby

Adrian Chiles' weekly Guardian column has gained a cult following for his unique insights into everything from the present tense in history podcasts to his legendary at-home urinal! Adrian is a writer, journalist, radio and TV presenter, including as Chief Presenter of Football for ITV Sport from 2010 - 2015. He currently works for BBC Radio 5 Live as well as for the Guardian.

His targets are the stuff of life, the everyday things we should all stop and think about a little more: favourite spoons, the correct duration of a hug, falling into a bed of wild garlic, or even discovering you have a naked doppleganger on OnlyFans.

This bumper collection takes us on a brilliant, bemused tour of British life, delivering offbeat, comforting blasts of truth, humour and warmth.

Adrian will be in conversation with BBC Midlands Correspondent Navtej Johal.

This event will be filmed and made available as a digital recording after the Festival. For more information please click here.

Please note that we anticipate that parking will be unavailable at the Assembly Rooms car park as demolition work will have started by November. Alternative parking is available on streets around the Cathedral area and in other public car parks including Chapel Street and Bold Lane.
